DuraSOL POS Banner is a satin coated and tear-resistant rigid PVC film with a waterfast coating for eco and true-solvent inks. The product has a cardboard-like touch and the printouts are characterised by high color brillance, high image definition and long durability. Due to it´s stiffness, the film is well suitable for rigid displays and pop-up systems. The coating allows a very short drying time even with low heating temperatures on the printer. The heaters should be set at maximum 30°C to avoid waves. The water-fastness with solvent-inks is excellent and the product can be used for long-term outdoor applications. The DuraSOL POS Banner is also suitable for the use with UV-curable printers. The product was tested with different UV-curable inks from Colorspan. The fixation of the ink to the surface is very strong and the UV-lamps should be run on reduced performance (low) to avoid high temperatures and a possible cracking of the inks. The print is water-resistant. Depending on the ink used and the climatic changes, the outdoor stability may be reduced due to the brittleness of the ink (estimated 3 months without further protection).
