Sinar rePro Camera

As a result of the rapidly growing demand for digitalization and its related needs for effective archiving, the features required of reproduction cameras have changed considerably. Two critical factors in the choice of a modern reproduction camera are its convenient operation and precision. A high throughput of subjects to be digitized requires an optimal workflow – exposures that need to be repeated cause serious delays and considerable extra costs. These criteria were taken into account as major considerations in the development process of our new product. The result is a camera that meets the requirements of reproduction photography without limitations.

Precision

The legendary precision of Sinar view cameras for analog and digital photography is widely known and it is highly valued by professional users around the world. The subject of sharpness has become significantly more important with the advent of digital photography, so that it has become especially important to use cameras that offer exactly the right features in terms of precision, stability and convenient operation to satisfy the new requirements. The new Sinar rePro is based on existing components of the legendary Sinar p3. Its compact design, which is ideal for digital reproduction photography, increases the overall stability of the new camera and it permits pixel precise settings. Operating the fast-focusing changes and the fine-focusing drive immediately make it very obvious that this high-end camera was crafted with high precision and the tightest tolerances. The newly developed fine drive is based entirely on the demands of digital photography – one turn effects a shift of 0.5 mm

Modularity

Entirely in keeping with classic Sinar philosophy, the new Sinar rePro camera also features the much admired modularity that is so praised by our customers. This means that all lens and shutter systems (except CAB) that are already available for the Sinar p3 camera canalso be used on the new Sinar rePro camera. In addition to the CPL and CMV it includes thenew Sinar eShutter lenses as well. Digital backs – including all Sinar versions and those offered by other manufacturers can readily be used by means of the appropriate adapters that are already available for the Sinar p3 camera.

Operation

Unlike those on a studio view camera, the operating elements on the new Sinar rePro camera are limited strictly to what is needed for efficient reproduction photography. Ingeniously thought-out fast focusing changes, combined with remarkable ease of operation assure a much more efficient workflow. That makes the operation of the camera much easier, with the benefit of an optimum of correct exposures. This also achieves the very desirable advantage that tolerances and the precision of settings are enhanced by the elimination of the unnecessary swing- and tilt mechanisms.The Sinar rePro camera is the most modern solution for applications in professional reproduction photography.
