The Stylus Pro 7900/9900 are the latest additions to the already established aqueous based Stylus Pro range of large format printers.
These new printers do not replace the existing Stylus Pro 7880/9880, they compliment the existing products with a wealth of new features, and are positioned at the premium end of the graphics market.

The Stylus Pro 7900/9900 are the first aqueous based large format printers to incorporate Orange & Green inks to the current UltraChrome K3 VM inkset, and coupled with auto switching of the Photo & Matte Black inks, provide the user with a total ink installation of 11 cartridges available in 350ml or 700ml capacities.

(The printers ship with 110ml Starter cartridges)

This new ink set, incorporating Orange & Green is called UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) and provides the user with an extremely wide colour gamut.

For:
 proofing this results in a higher percentage of standard spot colours to be accurately reproduced  photo & fine art provides the widest colour gamut currently available for maximum expression.

The Stylus Pro 7900/9900 ship with 110ml Starter cartridges
The Stylus Pro 7900/9900 feature the Epson SpectroProofer, a high quality colour measurement device powered by x-rite.
This unit is available as an option or pre-configured with the printer under a separate part number.
The SpectroProofer unit is a lift
off carriage  measuring device consisting of 2 units:
